Creme of the Sky

24% ABVNetherlands

Also known as “Creme de Ciel”. Defunct proprietary Bols liqueur also known as Creme de Ciel. Like blue Curacao, Creme of the Sky was an orange flavoured liqueur, artificially colored blue. Most likely, it was simply how Bols labeled their blue curaçao for a time, at least in some markets. Cited in the Cafe Royal Cocktail Book (London, 1937) in the recipe "Blue Skies". Blue curaçao is white curaçao with blue food coloring added for visual effect.
