Proprietary French bittersweet herbal aperitif liqueur; higher proof expression of the regular Suze product. Gentian liqueur is generic for a liqueur produced through the maceration and distillation of yellow gentian. Primarily associated with the Auvergne region of France. Prominent examples include Salers, Avèze, and Suze.
