Also known as “Suze”. Proprietary French bittersweet herbal aperitif liqueur. Gentian liqueur is generic for a liqueur produced through the maceration and distillation of yellow gentian. Primarily associated with the Auvergne region of France. Prominent examples include Salers, Avèze, and Suze.
