Green tea syrup is generic for (typically) homemade simple syrup infused with green tea (Chinese or Japanese). To produce, infuse a green tea bags in boiling water for about three minutes, strain, and stir in an equal amount of sugar (1:1 simple syrup strength) or twice the amount of sugar (for 2:1 strength). Cool, bottle and keep refrigerated. The same process can be employed with other teas and tisanes.
