earl grey syrup

Earl grey syrup is generic for (typically) homemade simple syrup infused with earl grey tea (black tea flavored with bergamot). To produce, infuse a few earl grey tea bags in boiling water for about three minutes, strain, and stir in an equal amount of sugar. Cool, bottle and keep refrigerated. The same process can be employed with other teas and tisanes.
