moscatel sherry

Moscatel sherry is generic for sherry from Jerez, Spain, made entirely from the moscatel grape. Moscatel sherry is the second-sweetest sherry, and quite dark in color. The other sweet sherry varietal is pedro ximenez. Either sweet varietal is used in combination with one or more dry sherries to produce cream sherry.
