Old Crow
Venerable proprietary bourbon brand dating to 1835 named for distiller James Crow who introduced the sour mash style to bourbon. Today the brand lives on as low cost bourbon produced by Jim Beam. Bourbon whiskey is a generic category for U.S. single-malt whiskey distilled from predominately corn mash with wheat or rye grains. Popular in all manner of mixed drinks 19th century-present.
