Meunier Génépy ‘Altitude’ Liqueur

42% ABVFrance

Also known as “Meunier Altitude”. Proprietary génépy, and perhaps the original commercial example of a Génépy des Alpes. Génépi (genepí in Italian) is generic for a large array of wormwood liqueurs produced in Alpine France, Italy and Switzerland through distillation and/or infusion of wormwood flowers and other botanicals in neutral spirit. Monastic liqueurs such as Chartreuse probably evolved from genepis, which represent an ancient European medicinal tradition.
