Proprietary vatted malt finished in sherry casks in France and bottled. Vatted scotch whisky—now termed “Blended Malt Scotch Whisky” by law—is a generic category for a combination of single malts (from different distilleries.) Similar to what in America is called a “blend of straight whiskies”.
