Virgil’s Cream Soda

Cream soda began as an amorphous array of pharmacy soda drinks in the 19th Century employing, variously, vanilla, cream, ice cream, and probably various chemical additives at one point or another. Today, “cream soda” has largely standardized around a very simple, tan-colored vanilla syrup-flavored carbonated soda, either canned or bottled.
