Highly regarded clear (uncolored) peppermint liqueur from France. Ideal in the Stinger cocktail. Pronounced “jet”. Peppermint-flavored liqueur is a generic category for liqueur with strong natural and/or artificial peppermint flavoring. Note: “Peppermint schnapps” in the United States is an unusually high-proof liqueur that dates to the 1930s—it may or may not be an appropriate choice for a peppermint liqueur in a mixed drink. Discretion is required. In this database, peppermint liqueur and peppermint schnapps are treated as distinct.
