Tomato juice is the fresh or canned opaque orange puree of tomato and water, without spices, used commonly in Bloody Mary-style drinks. (n.b.: although the tomato is technically a fruit, tomato juices and their variations are almost uniformly savory and vegetal, placing them squarely in the “vegetable juice” category for the purposes of mixed drinks.)
