Paul Masson Grande Amber VS

40% ABVCalifornia

California aged grape brandy bottled in Kentucky; notable example of an economical and useful ingredient for punches and other mixed drinks requiring, but not especially featuring brandy. Grape brandy is a generic category for brandy distilled from fermented grapes and aged in wood barrels or other vessels. Whenever the term “brandy” is used unqualified in a mixed drink recipe, aged grape brandy is what is meant, particularly Cognac and its imitators. If some other kind of brandy is intended, there will usually be additional context (e.g., “apple brandy” or “Spanish brandy”).
