Crème de noyeau is generic for a liqueur, originally French, with natural and/or artificial almond-like flavoring (traditionally from apricot and/or peach pits) and depending on the brand, a neutral spirit or brandy base. Lurid coloring is not uncommon. Associated with mixed drinks such as the Pink Squirrel.
