Pomelo is an Asian citrus fruit—the largest of citrus fruit—with green or yellow skin, sweet white or pink flesh and unusually thick spongy rind. Pomelo tastes somewhat like a grapefruit, but is typically sweeter and less bitter, although the spongy rind is highly bitter.
