Hooker’s House Bourbon

50% ABVCalifornia

Proprietary unfiltered bourbon finished in pinot noir barrels. (“Sonoma-style American Bourbon”). Label claims a 46% rye mashbill. The label also prominently states “est. 1849”, which is by any reasonable standard misleading, and perhaps an bald lie. Bourbon whiskey is a generic category for U.S. single-malt whiskey distilled from predominately corn mash with wheat or rye grains. Popular in all manner of mixed drinks 19th century-present.
