McAfee’s Benchmark Old No. 8 Brand
Also known as “Benchmark Bourbon”. Proprietary straight bourbon originated with Seagrams as “Benchmark Bourbon” and was produced at Four Roses; now owned by Sazerac Company, distilled at Buffalo Trace, renamed “McAfee’s Benchmark”, and labeled and bottled in a manner intended to distract Jack Daniels customers. Bourbon whiskey is a generic category for U.S. single-malt whiskey distilled from predominately corn mash with wheat or rye grains. Popular in all manner of mixed drinks 19th century-present.
